Photography is a journey. I open my eyes to a universe of which I am a part. Bodies and elements in harmony reveal a subtle dimension of matter. Born of a pulse, my work explores our place in the world: toward greater freedom of being, in harmony with the rhythms of life.

Nadia Abdelwahed draws inspiration from the movement of the sea and the interplay of the elements, in which the body becomes a space that resonates with them. For her, photography is a space that comes alive.
Of French and Lebanese descent, she grew up in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo). Her childhood was marked by a sensory experience of nature and a journey toward her identity, beyond her origins.
An urban planner in Montpellier, she has worked on 20 years’ worth of projects that capture the spirit of their surroundings. In 2020, she responded to a call to express a more intimate and personal vision through photography.
